On the afternoon of January 28, 2026, the Development Forum of AI Elite Engineer Technology Center of Nanjing Hexi Central Sci-tech Innovation Zone themed "Wisdom Gathers in Jianye · Create the Future Together" was successfully held at Alibaba Center in Nanjing. Hosted by the AI Elite Engineer Technology Center of Nanjing Hexi Central Sci-tech Innovation Zone, the forum saw the in-depth participation of the National Graduate College for Elite Engineers of Southeast University as an important co-construction unit. She Ziwei, Member of the Standing Committee and Director of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Jianye District Committee, Liu Zhiyuan, Secretary of the School of Statistics and Data Science of Southeast University, Chen Yang, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice Dean of the National Graduate College for Elite Engineers of Southeast University, as well as experts, scholars and enterprise representatives from multiple universities, scientific research institutions and industrial enterprises including Southeast University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Jiangnan University and Nanjing Forestry University, attended the event.
The forum focused on topics such as artificial intelligence empowering transportation development, the cultivation of elite engineers and the integration of industry, university and research. A series of AI + transportation achievements, including the "SEU Zhouxing-TRIP Progressive Transportation Reasoning Large Model" developed by Professor Liu Zhiyuan's team with the support of domestic computing power from the Network and Information Center of Southeast University, were officially released at the forum. The term "Zhouxing" is derived from the line "Those who favor me show me the universal way" in The Book of Songs · Ode to the Deer, which aligns with Southeast University's school motto of "Strive for Perfection", symbolizing the demonstration of the way of ultimate goodness and the truth of ultimate reality. Pioneering a two-layer state space architecture and a progressive reasoning mechanism for transportation, the model integrates the semantic understanding ability of general large models with physical constraints, propelling transportation planning, design, management and operation into a new stage of reliability, efficiency and intelligence. Professor Liu Zhiyuan pointed out that "The true intelligence is not about predicting the next token, but safeguarding every TRIP."
Meanwhile, a number of important ceremonies were held on site: the "Think Tank for AI Industry Research of Hexi Central Sci-tech Innovation Zone" was announced to be established, with more than 20 experts from the academic circle, industry and enterprises appointed for the first batch; two "Professor and Expert Studios" were inaugurated, further promoting school-enterprise collaborative research and talent cultivation. The thematic promotion of the Jiangsu Provincial "Young Inventor" Innovation Competition was carried out at the forum, and Chen Yang, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice Dean of the National Graduate College for Elite Engineers of Southeast University, introduced the relevant situation of the competition as a representative of the organizer. Sun Hucheng, Director of the Development Research Center of China Highway and Transportation Society, and Wan Jian, Deputy Director of Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Low-Carbon Digital and Intelligent Transportation, delivered special reports respectively, sharing cutting-edge thoughts on the integrated development of artificial intelligence and transportation from the perspectives of strategic planning and technical practice.
This forum is an important practice for the National Graduate College for Elite Engineers of Southeast University to deepen the integration of industry and education and drive the innovation of the cultivation mechanism for elite engineers.
